After the opportunity to attend a week long work experience camp presented itself at our recent Careers Fair, Senior 4 pupil, Rachel M, grabbed the opportunity with both hands!
I went to Barry Buddon Army camp in Carnoustie for a pre-recruitment work experience in early December. The week consisted of 100% genuine, no holds barred Army experiences which included many outdoor activities including saving a hostage, scoping enemy territory and how to work with rifles. Those of us who survived the week learned proper respect for each other, NEVER to be late, always to have a full water bottle and how to be neatly on parade. It was THE best experience of my life and has given me focus to join the Army once I leave school. It was great fun but seriously hard graft and I was exhausted when I got home. I would like to thank the British Army for providing me with this unique opportunity.
