Last night, our boarders made a start on their Chinese New Year celebrations preparing a wonderful feast for the boarding house staff and pupils.
With only a little bit of help from their house parents, our Chinese boarders worked together to present a stunning feast of Peking duck; pork spring rolls two ways; sticky chicken; honey beef slivers; bang bang cauliflower; garlic pak choi and fried rice. The whole house worked together to decorate the dining room, ensuring that it was a Chinese New Year celebration to remember. At a time when many of our Chinese pupils would normally be at home celebrating with friends and family, there was even more of a reason to celebrate this special occasion. Staff and fellow boarders were hugely impressed with what was described by all as a ‘delicious Chinese banquet’. Â
